CampusQuest - Mobile Scavenger Hunt for Schools August 2011 - Net Directories Inc has announced the introduction of CampusQuest, a new breakthrough product based on the classic scavenger hunt theme that combines engagement, action, discovery and the excitement of mobility into a powerful tool with hundreds of applications. CampusQuest is intended to assist schools in alumni participation/engagement, orientation for new students & parents, field trips, classroom learning, fundraising, build teamwork, and generate a little fun in the process. CampusQuest games are designed online using unique software and consist of questions, answers and prompts to lead players to the correct answer. Players begin the game by going to a short URL or through a QR code. Games are played on any mobile device with a web browser such as an iPhone, Blackberry, Android, tablet and more. Games consist of any number of questions and can be designed for individuals or groups, timed or open-ended. Scoring is kept by the system and posted on a web-accessed scoreboard. New clients are urged to open a free online account which gives them full access to the Game Manager, and the ability to design games. Cost is determined by the number of teams or players , each of which requires one Player Credit to play a game. Clients are given a choice of account plans based on their needs. Cost for each player can be less than 20 cents per game. Player Credits can be purchased online and the system tracks each client’s Player Credit balance.
